Had to take my dog in on a Sunday after some persistent diarrhea. Dr Abato and the techs were very nice and attentive, asking lots of questions, doing a quick physical exam to make sure no obvious signs of blockage, and giving a few different options for next steps and things to look out for. They were also able to run stool sample to check for parasites on-site in about 20 min, and rule that out in our case. We got sent home with some stool binder and probiotics that made a big difference for my dog’s comfort. When we were able to follow up at our regular vet after, they were highly complimentary as to how thorough and detailed the notes from Arlington were (apparently not common with animal urgent care)!A huge plus is being able to schedule a walk-in time in advance on their website, so you can arrive closer to when they will be able to see you. In our case, we were able to walk straight in.Finally, while vet care is not cheap as a general rule, what we paid at this clinic was about half the cost of taking my dog to the emergency pet hospital, which is win-win for my wallet and to relieve pressure on the pet ER.Would come here again and have been recommending to friends!Kristen BKristen B ★★★★★ Excellent care! He began to dry heave and at some points seemed like he was having trouble or breathing. On 6/21 I decided it was time to take him to get care. I took him back to the shelter I adopted him from and they were no help and showed no empathy, even though it was ONLY 2 days! I knew I needed care. I remembered seeing Urgent Animal Care of Arlington and decided to take him there in hopes he could get seen. We went in and we were greeted right away with compassion. I knew we were in the right place. They were a little busy with some urgent cases but, the vet tech continuously checked in on us and let us know the vet was coming and was almost done. The vet came in, examined our kitten, gave a course of action, and provided him with care. After being seen at Urgent Care as soon as we got home Fez was a new kitten! From check-in, to waiting, to being seen, to check-out, there were no issues. They showed compassion, empathy and most all they showed they care not only about us, but more importantly about Fez. They even followed up with us and checked up on Fez.
